Very nice, especially the 2nd photo.
The second photo was vary impressive. I think I’m about 6.7M strokes behind you ![]()
Very nice… what settings, finish, etc. did you use?
Mind if I add the pics directly into your post? (Or you can do it?)
Looks great!
Don’t forget to add your knife to the data base.
cbwx34,
No problem, i tried adding directly but it would not post! I need an FAQ or, someone to tell my DA how to do it. LOL!
I was going to put in database later, but please feel free

stropping done about 100 strokes per side, i flip strops at 50 to get even wear on strops, becase neww riser really raises the up.

Looks good! I have a few of the Leek’s and one of Kens CRKT blades. I like his designs. Looks like Curtis does too!
Nice job - and looks like a great spot near the fire to sharpen - I’m jealous! Thanks for sharing the photos and settings
great looking edge…I have one of these as well and need to sharpen it, so thanks for posting the pics and your set up info…saved me a few steps. ![]()
Can you elaborate a bit on your arm / rod setup ? Are those glove fingers your using for boots over the joints and what kind of washer or rubber grommet for paddle bumpers, and the little half moon things ( I’m assuming magnets ? ) sitting on top of the adjustment fixture ?
Darrell,
Thanks for the compliment.
The “covers” for the ball joints are fingers cut from a surgical glove. They were much less stiffer than the ones some use from dish washing gloves. The bumpers are rubber panel grommets, cant remember size, but they just fit the rods. I like them because the paddles can rebound off of them, thought about cutting them in half to reduce thickness. Those are magnets on top of the adjustment mounts. I also use electrical tape to hold a magnet on the front and backside of the riser base.

I have two of these knifes, used to carry one every day until I got my SOG Vulcan Mini. I still really like the knife. Did you notice any difference in sharpness after the ceramics? Or was the stroping just for mirror effect? Great job by the way.
Jack
Jack,
Thanks,
After Ceramics would have been fine for EDC. Wanted the mirror effect, but I also think it took out the toothiness {less grab).
Dave
That’s what I was thinking. Stroping does make it look nice. :cheer:
