Interesting Site. Scale from pico to light years

http://htwins.net/scale2/

I am not sure it is 100% accurate, but it is neat to play with.
check out the viruses at about .4 microns…

So, no we aren’t polishing molecules…
:frowning:

They claim the smallest object visible with an optical microscope is 200 nanometers (o.2 micron).

Anyway, try it out.

Phil

That is too cool.

Way cool.

I was actually looking for something similar to show my nephew (8 y.o.). It’s a timescale that covers the time from the big bang (or the creation of the earth or so) until now. Then it shows different periods of the earth. It shows that living things have been on the earth only since recently, and man only very very recently. I’ve seen it, but I can’t find it back.

Not sure if this is what you saw, but here are some links:

This sounds like a good candidate for what you were talking about

Absolutely brilliant! Thanks a lot, Phil. It is not the site I was looking for, this one is much, much better. Shivering, even though I have seen texts and other time lines at least a 100 times, of course.
