Incredible Bravery...

Praise Jesus! No one else deserves the glory.

My friend, you are doing very well indeed! Being speedy and smooth gliding like Clay or Smoke-eater is not really necessary. Just going along taking care and using good practice like you are doing on this excellent video gets the same result once you break in the stones.
Running the cork along the edge that you have seen others do, is simply trying to take off any last vestige of the burr.
Your style really reminds me of me! I am getting up near 80 now and so the old hands and eyes are not as coordinated as they once were, yet I can still crank out a razor sharp knife.
Well done and keep up keeping up mate!

Very best regards

Leo,

Thank you for the kind words. I’m sure the gentleman in this video would really appreciate you visiting his channel and sharing what you just wrote. I posted the video because I admire this man’s heart and perseverance.

Please stop by and stop him a few lines… Possibly try to get him involved in the forum?

Bladesports is actually a pretty popular sport in my surroundings. With a couple of rules (like keeping your arm on your back) it’s also pretty safe. It started out here as a competition in which only knife makers could participate (to show how great their knives are), but now it’s open to knife nuts like me too.

Note the bicycles in the background. And the paramedics. This is Holland :cheer: .

Made me nervous when he was push cutting the paper and hot close to his hands!

Thanks for posting

Are they using a modern form of the seaxe in the holland vid?
