Very nice and huge collection mate! Those will keep you busy for awhile. I can see that you might need the curved stone paddles for a few of the blades. You have some very nice exotic wood handles on a few of those knives! Sweet!

All the best Martin
Leo

Thanks Leo, this is only half of all my knives, my wife calls me a madman:woohoo: but she likes my sharp chefs/kitchen knives…
martin

made a litle video (the first i made) with me stropping with my homemade leather strops, just a litle test…

That looks great Martin, nice work! I love the look of your knives.

Hey Martin - looking great! keep the pics/posts coming, love to see more up close shots of your collection and the great results you are getting working on them!

i dont have a good camera, so the pictures isnt so great:(
but here is one i did today, a realy fat one “the bulldozier” total lenght 17cm and 7mm fat. RWL-34 steel i did it for about 5 years ago as a skinner knife to myself.
went from 100-1000 grit diamond stones and then 1200 and 2000 wet sand paper and leather stropping with autosol, and now its so sharp that im almost afraid of it:woohoo: soon i will be ordering some ceramic stones but does anyone knows where i can get them in europe so i dont need to pay for the extra taxes from usa??

:cheer: Nice job!

If you are looking for the 1200/1600 ceramics you could try Peter in Germany - peter.fronteddu@t-online.de or Benoit in France - benoit.membre@gmail.com. They might have them in stock. If you are looking for the new Coorstek cermaics, so far as I know those aren’t out to dealers yet so those will have come from WE direct.

according to his siteI happened to ask them recently. Benoit was out of stock and expected to remain so for a while. However, , Peter has them in stock again since a few days.

Both are reliable guys, by the way. I’ve done business with both of them.

great thanks all.

i made this one today, its a hunter mod. from seved (sweden)steel rwl-34 and i have put some giraff bone scales on it. I think it came out real nice and i will test it when the hunting starts.

Hey Martin,

This new knife looks great - nice work!

This knife i made for about 4 years ago, the blade is from a danish custom blade maker Paul Strande, and the handle is made with darker stained birsh, jakaranda and silver inlay and for a cople of days ago it has a wicked edge 19 degrees on it. I dont juse this knife thats sad, but i think its to beautiful and im a litle afraid of damage it.

Incredible! That is absolutely magnificent, Martin! You think you’ve had the most beautiful knives (I liked the RWL-34 / giraffe bone knife very much, too) and then this one comes by! What can we expect next?

+1 - keep them coming!

PS - I love the light reflecting off the knife edge onto the paper in the bottom (last??) shot :woohoo:

i keep posting some of my knives:blush:
this “fat” blade is made of seved (bladesmith in sweden) after my skiss, its rwl-34 steel
total lenght: 22,5cm
blade height :4cm
thick :10mm so it is a realy fat beast:P full flat and convex edge,
i sharpend it about 2 weeks ago and its scary sharp with 22-21-20 degrees edge, finish it with my homemade leather strops to almost a mirror edge.
