I now have both gen3 vises and am wondering if the jaws for the 1/4 inch blades work with the 2017 vise?

Can you guys tell me what you use the 1/4" and even 1/16" jaws for?
Can you sharpen a Victorinox pocket knife at about 20 degrees using a 1/4" jaw? Or using a 1/16" jaw?
And do they have other advantages?
The 1/16" jaws will be obsolete with the 2017 Gen 3 Vise because of the tension adjustment feature. The 1/4" inch jaws are for knives that are over 3/16" thick on the spine. You can sharpen relatively thin knives with the 1/4" jaws though 1/16" is about the minimum thickness you can clamp very securely. I’ve gotten a reasonable grip on a blade that was 0.05" thick but didn’t feel completely confident.
