Check out my new base. (hope the pictures uploaded ok) I had my granite installers (I am a contractor on St. Croix, USVI) cut it from a sink cut out. Chamfered and polished the edges, used a water cooled diamond bit to drill the holes and took the rubber feet from the old base and epoxied glued them onto the bottom of the granite. Works great, it is nice and heavy, making it very stable. (not that that was an issue).
