Hmmm. I was just about to order a pair, but this problem with the unmatched angles between the arms and the VTSA is giving me second thoughts.

Thanks. I’m still chewing on technique. This knife is sharp so I’m not rushing into it. I sharpened a Kiwi 4 today, and am trying to decide what is best for small Wharncliffe blades, up and down strokes, or sweeping strokes.
Never tried a micro bevel yet, but planning to. Watched a couple vids, yours included, and listened to Cliff Stamp. I just sharpened up a couple of Enduras that would make prime candidates to go back and micro-bevel.

No. The regular rods work fine. I sharpened a Kiwi 4 on it today.

Actually mine is PP2 with the ball joints. I think the rods are a little longer, but I think the regular ones should be long enough.
This knife jig is mostly for small knives, so you don’t need the length for long sweeps.

Thanks again guys. I got my knife jig, and it’s perfect. It’s smaller and lighter in real life.
Even if you don’t use it a lot, it’s a great accessory to have standing by for when you do.
