Shapton Glass Stone Set: new old stock, never used stone set. All stones are old, original Shapton Glass Stones I have accumulated, that were cut by Tom Blodgett of Jende. The “Set” is mounted to original OEM Wicked Edge blank handles and labeled.
These are excellent whetstones. They are “splash and go” stones. If you were to have to choose one kind of whetstones to own and use, these are those whetstones. This complete paired grit compliment can take you from reprofiling to mirror polished on the newest, hardest steels we are sharpening, today. (220/320, 500/1000, 3000/4000, 6000/8000).
***These Shapton Glass Whetstones are excellent for sharpening the newer harder steels knives are being made with. Steels like ZDP189, or S90V, or Maxemet, or HAP40 (HRc 60-65 and harder steel types).***
