I haven’t done much sharpening lately but have picked back up recently and re-discovered a problem I was fighting before. I for the life of me cannot get a FFG blade to clamp up true. Was looking at my vise when I discovered this (see pics) My main concern is that I learn what I am doing wrong so I don’t bend another set. Any ideas?

Unfortunately it’s more common than not w/ the gen 1 and 2 vises… I’ve probably had 8-10 replaced over the years but they have never questioned me and always sent one out very quickly. The guys are right, give them a call =)

Update they replaced it no hesitation. Really wanting a Gen3 clamp! Is it worth the upgrade? Seems like the majority of knives I get are FFG and that new clamp looks like it would make it easier clamping those type of blades.

With all the upgrades a person could go broke ordering all of them. HAHA
