    Here it is in action with the first knife since the mod, and it certainly makes sharpening a long thin blade easy. Thanks for thinking of all these mods. It has made my sharpening life a happy one.

    I also used all of Will’s mods and loves them. Then I finally decided to get this one too. It’s great, particularly for long kitchen knives. No wiggle anymore.

    I’m a long-time WEPS user, but new to this forum. My two hobbies, fishing and smoking meat, require frequent sharpening of long, thin fillet knives and boning knives. I could really use this support. Does anyone know how I would go about purchasing one? I see Will’s name mentioned. Is he VoodooDaddy?

    Yes he’s VoodooDaddy.

    In the interim, this was my solution…

    Just a bit of string and a couple of clamps. Not as elegant, but it works! (Probably not as well as Will’s though…) :dry: 🙂

    Who needs elegant if it works! Long thin blades ill do in 2 sections, I might even reverse the knife and support the handle if needed. Another one of those ideas I’ve been thinking about.
