First – I’m looking into the problem where it’s not preserving the text formatting. Thanks for the heads up on those problems.
Next, I’ll look into the glitch of not being able to edit those posts. I think that some posts got double-entered (they successfully posted, but also got hung up in a queue, and later re-posted. The forum is only displaying one of them, and has flagged the other as ‘hidden’ and has made the displayed post ‘locked’ rather than editable.
As a short version of an explanation, one of our bbPress forum plugins (UserPro) had been building up a large amount of cache, that eventually caused it to take up all of the server’s memory. Today, we cleared out the cache and disabled it from gathering more, and that’s what fixed the performance problems (that were leading to page loading errors). Now we’re left with a) some posts that got caught in the crossfire and now aren’t editable, and b) a changed caching setting that appears to be causing problems with rich text editing.
