I’m relatively new to all this, but I wanted to post a shout out to the good folks at Wicked Edge for saving me. I have a Spyderco Manix 2 which is my EDC. It’s the best EDC I believe I have ever had in terms of handling, strength, and durability (CMP S30V). Yesterday, I managed to smack the edge on a rock while cutting vinyl (long story), and I almost wanted to cry. A full 3/4 of an inch was damaged by the hit. I took to it this evening, and here is the outcome. Sorry I don’t have before pictures. I went from 100/200 all the way through 5 micron kangaroo strop. The outcome is better than what I received from the factory. I placed it at B, and about 25deg drop. Despite what I’ve read, the 15 degree edge was too steep, and I found the sweet spot at 17 degrees. My picture doesn’t fully do it justice, but I stopped short of a mirror finish and it’s amazing.
