My Dad gave me this knife several years ago…thought I would share pics of the new edge. Sharpened at 16 degrees per side, down to .5 diamond paste w/ leather.

Well done mate! Isn’t it satisfying to sharpen a wonderful knife and give it a ‘wicked edge’? Good for you for taking care of your Dad’s gift to you.

Thanks Leo….My Dad was amazed when I showed him the new edge. Not bad for a knife that’s 40+ years old!

I am not surprised that he was amazed. 40 years ago edges like that were rare and usually done by an expert. You have done well to preserve this link with the past. Maybe you will have it to give to your son when he is old enough. 😉
