    I have a domain with some web space on which I can install my own web server and other software. Does anyone know of a software package I could use to install on it to get a site that gives an experience a bit like SmugMug?

    Wordpress is certainly an option for me, but unfortunately I don’t know any WordPress configurations specifically for photos.

    I just found this “fix” for the Photobucket problem: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/photobucket-hotlink-fix/kegnjbncdcliihbemealioapbifiaedg. It’s for Chrome only. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’ve seen on other sites that it can be made to work. Not that I’ll host my pics on Photobucket again (I completely lost my confidence in them), but it could be handy if you’re looking at older posts with photos from Photobucket that now don’t show anymore.
