New to WE – bought the WE Go

Hello all, I’m new to WE and new to sharpening in general. I have a couple other sharpening systems but just got my first WE. I got the WE Go because of the price. I would rather of had one of the other ones that was $900+ but I couldn’t spend that on something that I will most likely only use on my own knives. So I bought the Go and made a base for it from 2″x12″x12″ pine and it’s pretty sturdy and was inexpensive. I also added the 800/1000 stones and the 1500/blank glass stones and ordered the 9 micron lapping film. I”m reading and learning from the posts and from the Youtube vids.

Thanks! Do you have a link to WE Go forum? When I click forum in the top bar that link isn’t there and I don’t see it in the main forum.

MarcH, the menu you refer to is a WordPress menu not visible to regular members. We only see the menu below that starting with “Sharpeners…” You have a higher level of authorization inside WordPress.
