Bought a cutting board and glued leather to both sides. What compound do I buy and use on each side so I can start stropping free hand and don’t have to get the wicked edge out.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Marc

Are you wanting to avoid the WE diamond pastes? They work really well and don’t require much… if you want something else let me know and I will try to offer suggestions.

There are huge quality differences in stropping compounds. Like Josh, I’d say: WE diamond paste. If you want to use another paste: 3M is very good, too. If you wanna go for sprays, I can recommend the Ken Schwartz diamond and CBN sprays.

But it seems you’ve already made up your mind 🙂 .
