I think the notifications might have to do with the time stamps being reset after a few posts were made, so they ended up looking like they were made after the current time. Should iron itself out.

Things seem to be straightening out now after a very rocky transition. We still have a few glitches here and there, but most seems okay and the speed seems much better. I’d love any additional feedback you guys have.

I guess this is a side-effect of the upgrade?

I jinxed myself… after my last post, (and unchecking the “Subscribed” box), I also got the top red part… the 6 “mail function” errors. :S

    I’m blaming Mark! 👿

It’s to do with the PHP installation on the new server. Tech support for the server is working with our web guy to resolve it.

    Yep, fast.
Green alerts of new posts works properly.

Red “could not instantiate . . .” Remains . I know it’s being worked on, just a FWIW.

Great, thanks for the feedback! Now if we can get our blasted email sorted out, it will all be worth the disruption. The increased speed is definitely a big plus.

Testing the PHP installation, hoping not to get the big wall of red.

Edit: Looks good! Please report if you see any issues. Thanks everyone for your help through the transition!

I need to change the title…

“Is this site too fast for anyone else?” 🙂

It loads so quick now, that if there’s not a new post, or I don’t catch a time stamp change, I miss it!

    Birds are more cheerful…
    I’m drinking less coffee… no longer waiting…
    Friends say I seem happier….

    😀

I didn’t do any performance tests. But although the site may still not be as blazingly fast as some other sites, it seems as if the long delays in which you could get a cup of coffee are gone.
