How to get an email when a pm is received

I used to get an email every time I got a pm. Now it seems I either don’t get them anymore or very irregularly. Is there anyone who can tell me where the setting is for emails for pm’s? I cannot find it.

From what I can tell it’s a universal setting, and it’s turned on.  Beyond that… guess the admin will have to take a look.

(Wonder if deleting and then readding your email address would make a difference?)

Is it possible I am too quick sometimes? I.e. that these emails are only sent e.g. once a day and that I have found the pm already before the email is sent?

I have satellite internet and there’s often a delay of 10-15 minutes.  If I change a password, for instance, the site will send me an email with the code to initiate the change, but I always have to click on Send/Receive to force a check for new email.  With the satellite’s data load, rather than letting you query continuously, checking for new mail, I think they check at regular intervals.  Maybe it’s something similar with overseas: URLs are continuous and e-mail is cyclic?
