Welcome to the Wicked Edge forum, Derek. The WE100 will allow you to sharpen your knives well. It will yield an edge just as sharp as all the other model Wicked Edge Sharpeners when used properly. You do need to know the WE100 is an entry level sharpener with out the precise angle control of the more expensive models. The WE100 only has gross angle settings with out any fine angle adjustment capacity. There are some work-arounds and inexpensive accessories you can purchase to gain more control over the sharpening angles. Before you use these, you’ll first need to learn the knife clamping and sharpening basics involved with the “Standard Vise Set-up” of the WE100 you have ordered.
I suggest you read through the “Knowledge Base” for entries for the “beginners”. (This is at the upper right of your browser window). Watch Youtube Videos on using the WE100. Read through this Forum for posts from beginners. These are always helpful. A goggle search for using the WE100 will yield helpful information too.
