Anybody have the angles on the CRK Nyala?

What is optimal vs factory? I’m not going to mirror this edge as it will be an outdoor beater but I do want to crowdsource some thoughts before I start removing steel from the edge just because it’s the smart thing to do.

    Thanks gang!

I would use the sharpie trick to see what it is sharpened to from the factory. Use it like that and see how it performs. Many Here like to thin their bevels down to 17 to 15 deg then throw a wider microbevel on top of that. But really it all depends on what you will be using it for and how you will be using it. The thinner the bevel the better it cuts but if you go too thin for the type of steel you can run into edge failure. I like 17dps main bevel with a functional polish then a 20 to 22 deg toothy microbevel. Then a light polish with 1600 ceramics just to refine the teeth.
