Completely off-topic, but this happened to my car during our last holiday in France. (Please note the numbers, some people didn’t even know why I showed them these pics.)

It’s a Volvo V40, by the way, the old model. A very persisting (what is the correct word?) car.

I was about to say that 300000 is a pretty big number, but then realized that it is kilometers. It is 186000 in miles. The average in US is 175000 miles. Modern cars run much longer than cars in last century.

That’s right. Although my previous car was an Alpha Romeo (156). That probably wouldn’t have made the 300,000. Volvo is much more reliable. And it’s a milestone for me .

The speed of light is 186,000 miles per second, or 300,000 kilometers per second.  It’s funny how numbers seem to pop up everywhere you go.

LOL. Even at the speed of light I’d need one second to visit all of the locations I’ve visited in the past 12 years by car .

    Congrats, by the way, Pete.
