Is it possible to add the aluminum base to the WE130 Portable option?

RJ, you can do this two ways.  You can order and pay for the blue base that’s standard with the WE130.  Then you’ll remove the wide black portable base option, swap the square bar over to the blue base then re-secure your WE130 Vise to the blue base.  The blue base will attach and screw in place, to the pre-drilled holes on the Wicked Edge Aluminum base.

The second less expensive option, if you’re so inclined, is to drill holes through the wings of the wide black portable base and holes through the Wicked Edge Aluminum base, (or any other base you choose to use, for that matter), so these holes align and are positioned how you like them on your base.  Then secure the WE130 Portable to your new base, using these holes, with appropriately sized, nuts and bolts or screws.

This is what I did with an aluminum base I made from my local machine shop.

Thanks for the replies. I just received my WE130 last night and will look into both options. Time to take a deep dive into WE world. Wish me luck!

Any chance you can post a picture of the under side of your base?  Thanks
