Hello all.  I am going to purchase either the WE130 or the GEN 3 pro today.  The guide rod arms they come with are 10″ and 8″.  I see that they sell longer arms which I assume is used when you have the low angle adapter on.  So if I plan to use the low angle adapter should i buy the 12″ arms for the WE130 and the 10″ for the Gen 3 pro?  Thanks in advance and happy Thanksgiving all.

    Welcome to the forum michael.

Yes definitely buy longer guide rods.  I use mine all the time.  I couldn’t sharpen without them.

I agree that the 12 inch rods are a good accessory. I use them exclusively.

I have the Gen 3 Pro  and purchased the 10″ guide rods as (to me) a necessity.  Personally I think the 8″ rods it comes with are too short. It should come standard with the 10″ rods.

I have 10 inch for my Gen 2 and immediately purchased 12″ for the Gen 3.  IMO, they should be OEM for the base kit and shorter rods the option.
