Anyone care to tell us more about the Website upgrade happening June 13?
Any hints previews… anything?
Will you be using the same Forum Software?
The banner says that the upgrade will take about 30 minutes…(Yeah sure. I live in the IT world… nothing ever goes according to a proper time schedule), but that the forum will take longer.
Any projections on the latter?
I keep seeing the banner, but no one has mentioned anything at all about it??
My curiosity got the better of me… I just had to ask.
I hear we’re getting more cowbell.

We’re just upgrading to the latest version of the software running the site, ostensibly to pick up some new features and improve security and performance. Am I worried? VERY! So far, all the things we’ve done to improve the site have worked out but the path from start to finish has been very rocky…

Though obviously I am not as invested in the process as you are…

Good luck with the upgrades, I know I always have “fun” keeping my site running smoothly and I don’t even have a community to support! At least you’re not changing software entirely, that’s when it gets really crazy.

Though I do catch SNL occasionally. I actually saw the cowbell skit when they originally aired…
Anyway… no big deal one way or another. I guess Clay told us as much as we will know until the big event has come and gone…
