The Wicked Edge Go is now up for pre-orders at $150, will be $199 after the pre-order period. It’s interesting that the stones are 200 / 600. I like how portable it is and I imagine the price point will bring in a lot of new Wicked Edge users.

I think Organic hit the nail on the head. This is a great move to draw new users into the WE community. Hopefully, the sales numbers will justify keeping the price lower than the $199. I think the $150 price is attractive. The $199, maybe not so much.
To use low angle adapter with WE GO do I have to upgrade to longer rods?
If yes, is it possible to order WE GO with long rods instead of short rods?
No idea… I’m sure they would… but the rods store in the base… so might defeat that.
Wonder if the Tormek Small Knife Adapter would be a better fit for this setup?

I was just looking at the Julu comments and so fixated on it that I couldn’t understand how on earth you’d mount a Julu in the Tormek adapter. Duh.
We’ll be making the base plate available, just don’t have pricing yet. The prototypes of the base work really nicely. I’ll get some photos of the prototype units and we’ll make some videos at Blade Show this coming week.
You can use longer arms for sure. There is room in the base piece to store arms up to 11" long. I’m sure we could put together a custom order for you.

I’m in! The Wicked Edge Go price of $150 attracted me and I pre-ordered one this morning. I suspect I’ll be hooked and upgrade after I hone my skills on the Go. It may prove to be all I need and I may accessorize it but I am prepared to upgrade models and invest more.
