Excellent work Josh, it would be wonderful to see a video on how you did this. Thanks in advance.
Great work, Josh!
Hey guys! I simply destressed the edge w/ my 100’s, 200’s, then 400’s, then once I I had all the damage out I reprofiled w/ my 100’s to where I was close to the apex, then worked my way up and out (increased angle at the higher degrees) until I apexed fully up in the 30um range. Yes, I went directly to lapping films after the 1k diamonds =)
Josh,
Shooting a video from beginning to end would be delightful to see! … And I’m almost positive it’d be the FIRST video tutorial covering what’s needed to successfully sharpen ceramic blades on the WE.
Josh: After my experience, I never would have touched a ceramic with my 200’s, let alone my 100’s. I guess the destressing removed the danger of chipping. Muy impressivo. About how long did the whole process take?
Thanks Tom. Yeah that was the only thing that would begin to touch the depth of those chips. The whole process took ~40min to 1 hr.
