Scrap Yard SYKCO 911 and More

Hey Gents and Ladies,

So I’m really starting to love my Wicked Edge Field and Sport Pro + Accessory Stones/Strops. I’m loving the consistency and the overall quality of the edges. I decided to give some of my folders and users the mirror polished treatment. Check them out:

Nice work! That picture of the ZT 03XX makes me smile. I recently picked up a 0300BW and can’t wait to put it on the WE!

Nice! (And another outdoor knife confined to printer paper  )

hahaha Mark! Pay attention! The SYKCO has definitely been used – the Infimandu of course was only recently acquired. I’m starting to think you’re reaaaal sensitive about fixed blades cutting paper (among other things)

No worries — I accept you for who you are

Thanks brother! You’ll see that once the shoulders are thinned out and once you get a clean mirror polished edge, the performance dramatically improves. Cheers!

Wow. Very nice! Can’t wait to get my WE!

They are Sweet!
Did you use Strops or Film?
What grits did you use for the Mirror finish?

Hey Dave,

I used 100/200, 400/600, 800/1000, 1200/1600 ceramic, 1.4 micron/.6 micron ceramic, 5/3.5 micron Balsa Strop, and 1/.5 micron Balsa Strop. As has been stated before — the more time is spent bridging grit gaps — the better the quality of the edge. Just redid my ZT0200 last night.

Nice! So is the Glock in 10 mil!

Thanks brother! Both the Glock 20 and the ZT0200 are overbuilt and very effective. Love mine!
