Hi all, just wanted to introduce myself to the forum and thank everyone for their very useful advice on how to get the best from the Wicked Edge products. I’ve been a long time Edge Pro user so am used to many of the knife sharpening concepts.
After sharpening a couple of kitchen knives this morning on the Gen 3 I’m beginning to appreciate the benefits of the Wicked Edge system compared to the Edge Pro, such as a solid platform for the knife, ability to really dial in the correct angle, repeatability of the sharpening process to name a few.
My diamond paddles are still on the rough side but, even with these, I can get a better edge than I could with the Edge Pro. Looking forward to developing my skills with this fine tool further, but am very impressed and pleased with my investment.
