Low Angle

Hey folks. I just received my PP2 for Christmas. I’ve done 6 knives so far with each getting better that the previous. Having said that, I am having a problem with lower angles. I can’t seem to get anywhere close to 15 degrees. My angle meter show 19 and change and I can’t seem to get lower than that due to the stones hitting the vice. I have installed the included riser block. Any help would be appreciated.

Mark, are you sharpening slip joints or narrow blades? if so that’s what’s causing the issue. You need the Tormek small knife jig and you will be all set.

Narrow blades. I attempted a buck 512. Thanks for the reply. I’ll have to order one.
