Hi guys,
I have a ESEE-4, the blade is made of 1095 carbon steel, can anyone explain what this type of steel is like and it’s pros and con etc?
As I use it for building hides etc, what angle bevel would you recommend?
Cheers guys
Steve

Everything you always wanted to know about knife steel and more: zknives.com .
Steve already pointed you to the knife database. It contains a wealth of information. Once you’ve gained some experience with the WEPS, you may want to try a convex edge. I love it on outdoor knives!
