is there a possibility of getting a sticky on physical resources like books on edge geometry, steel types, construction etc. Living out in the sticks i don’t have the ability to peruse a dozen knife forums and collate the data every time i am trying to look something up. I saw a list somewhere on here, or in a video referenced here. It would be helpfull for guys like me who prefer a physical copy to leaf through.
Whilst not a book http://zknives.com has an incredible amount of info on its site plus there is both an Android app & IOS app which is for referencing steel types .
No physical copies, but PDFs you can read offline: https://knife.wickededgeusa.com/forum/3-suggestion-box/13458-books#21792
Enjoy!
Agreed. I really enjoy zknives.com, especially the steel reference app I have on my Android. Awesome on-the-fly information.
But that doesn’t really answer your question regarding physical copies ![]()
Nope But I have about 4000 Ebooks downloaded through torrent sites & even a few books to do with knives & sharpening although most of those are PDFs saved to HDD & I put a small number of them at a time on my iPad saves a lot of space or refer to them on my desktop.I think Mark will steer you on those . Otherwise You Tube is a good bet for learning such stuff I would recommend Japanese Knife Imports ChefsKnivesToGo & Murray Carter for starters .
Otherwise I collect articles off the net downloading them as PDFs if you can’t save them as PDFs screen capture the text. . Save your money for knives & sharpening materials .
