I am slowly reading my way through the entire series of Jack Reacher novels, by Lee Childs. In one of them, the grave of Clay Allison, famous gunfighter, is described.
I’ve read them all. They are great! I could not believe they cast Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher. I always picture Bruce Willis.
I’ve only seen part of “One Shot”, but I had read it only a few weeks before. It seemed they followed the book pretty close, but I agree, Cruise was the worst casting mistake I’ve seen for a long time. Maybe ever. Reacher’s whole persona is based on him being 6’-5" and 250 lbs. He’d break their necks with one hand, then pop the head off with his thumb. Well, not really, but close. The thumb part I made up.
I imagined a young Tom Selleck, but maybe one of the current body-builder giants would fit better. Whatsisname? Daryl or is it Dwayne Johnson?
