31 knives - 1 loper - 2 pruners: best day ever.

As I was just about done setting up, I get 6 knives, 2 pruners and 1 set of lopers - all for next Saturday.
Then up comes another lady with 3 knives – she is a repeat customer from last year.
Then walks up total glory.
My best knive sharpening day ever and a small gold ticket from the bay later today – a nice day.
31 knives – I like it
Short 3.44 min. vid.
Good luck to everyone
See you soon.

Excellent stuff well done!

This is my first forum post.I have had the PP2 for a couple years now. Have followed and learned from the forum throughout that time. I enjoy your weekly post, Tuffy. Your earlier posts included some video of you clamping and sharpening your stuff: knives, lopers, serrated blades, etc… . I’ve learned some good technique from those videos. Hope you do more of that in the future. If it’s not a business secret I’d like to see how you sharpen some of the non-knife blade items.

Welcome to the forum! :cheer:

first of all Dee - welcome to the WE forum - and good luck sharpening.

i do a video of all the knife fairs i work, but kinda got away from the actual sharpening part. there are countless numbers of videos on WE sharpening…same goes for belt sharpening.

that is what i use on almost all yard blades and many of the kitchen knives i now bring home to sharpen. i try and save my diamond paddles for the fairs alone.

i used a 1 x 42" kalamazoo belt grinder with a whole set of belts from 160 grit to 4,000 and then leather belts. i may even purchase yet another grinder soon, probably a Veil from Lee Valley and i hope to have a Twice as Sharp scissor sharpening soon…MAYBE…I was lucky not long ago and found a twice as sharp scissor arm on ebay for 50 bucks and i sent it to South Dakota to have a bracket made for it just for scissors so i can use the “Kally”…attached is a pic. of one kinda like mine with the attachment.

many say it works really good on scissors… i hope to find out really soon. 50 bucks is much nicer than spending 350 bucks for twice as sharp.

stand by…if u go to you tube and type in sharpening lopers, trimmers, etc…u can find many many videos on how to.

i should also add that many many times on lopers and trimmers i end up using a vice and hand files to get the job done.

i have a cordless dremel that also works really really good i use many times also.

and many times i just grab the diamond paddles and use them while the item is in the vice.
