    I found a couple of things it would appear the Ken Onion series is no longer listed on the Kai Shun web sites .
    There is a warranty on them but that only covers damage due to manufacturing defects they do offer a lifetime of free sharpening for the I think original buyer provided the postage is paid . I also read that they sharpen them on a belt sander.
    It slightly destroys the myth for me I thought they were closer to how shall I put it more traditional Japanese cutlery .
    Still they are attractive knives .

    Thanks for the kind thoughts, it has been a rough year for her. She finally got the surgery she needed (had to remove a good portion of her bowel). She is doing really well still on morphine for now but Dr. is very pleased and full recovery is expected. Thanks again, we can get back to talking knives and stuff now. 🙂
