    Alhough, to confuse you 🙂 . the 3.5/5 strops are an alternative.

    I went 1200/1600 and then 2k/3k chosera and 5k/10k chosera 🙂

    Depends on your motivation:

    Cost, only want 1 set – Then ceramics
    Mirror edge, chosera’s

    Type of knife? If I only did kitchen knives then ceramics, for EDC pocket knives the chosera’s.

    Is time an issue? Choseras will take more time.

    Agree with Geo’s assessment, Chosera’s are expensive, but boy are they ever worth it….but as alternatives you can always go the ceramic and strop route as well.
