    I just sharpened an SOG Aegis upon finding the sweet spot I found that the angle was different from side to side with the angle cube. One side being 20.50 degrees and the other being 23.75 degrees. I decided to sharpen to the narrower angle on both sides so they would match at 20.50 degrees. I was pleased with the outcome. My question is what would you guys do in a situation like that ?

    I would have done essentially what you did.  I probably would have profiled both sides to 20.00º just to have a whole number angle.  Also that would insure both sides were fresh steel.  Good job.  We love to see posted pictures of sharpened knives.
