It is not too difficult to get a knife shave ready using the WEPS, provided you have some high-grit stones, like the 10K Choseras. So I thought it would be fun to start a SOTD topic here.

The only rule: you should have shaved at least some part of your face with the knife you show.

I’ll start with the knife I shaved with yesterday.

    Knife: Laguiole Renaud Aubry
    Steel: 12C27
    Angle: 20 degrees per side
    Stone finish: Chosera 10K
Strop: 1 micron diamond on balsa, 0.5 micron diamond on balsa, plain cow leather

Well, you scored big time on the sharpening, but bombed terribly on the shaving cream!!!! 👿

Nice job, and welcome to the club of crazy knife shaves! B)

    Knife: Benchmade 940 Osborne
    Steel: S30V
Angle: 17 degrees per side (about the factory edge)
    Stone finish: Chosera 10K
Strop: 1 micron diamond on balsa, 0.5 micron diamond on balsa, 0.25 micron CBN on balsa, plain cow leather

Nice job, and welcome to the club of crazy knife shaves!

Yes, it is quite crazy. This shave became quite a bloody affair. Shaving with crazy knives does not only require a sharp knife, but also a good technique!

The knife sure did have a beautiful mirror edge.
