That’s it! I’m out of things to sharpen at the moment. Guess I could reprofile the Esee’s I have.

there’s always friends… family… craigslist to make a little extra money for upgrades 😀

What you need to do is do a scrubbing motion in more of a sweeping motion or keep moving up and down the blade as you do this.

    Josh,

Can you clarify this a little? Thanks!

np mark! so you are scrubbing in an up and down motion with full contact between your stone and the knife edge. Instead of staying in one spot and doing this motion, you need to:

    1. move up and down the blade without staying in one spot too long
    2. conduct a sweeping motion and on the return you are still keeping contact with the edge. You can “short stroke” this and not go all the way to the tip when you do it. This is what I was referring to. This will prevent staying in one spot too long and making that detent.

When using the panavise, where do you zero the angle cube to? On the blue base up against the vise?

    Thanks
