    Hello, I just received my new WE300. I got the stones up to 1000 grit waiting to get my strops. I’m a firefigher from Kansas City. One quick question. Since I only have stones up to 1000, should I still add two degrees to my angle on my final grit?

    Reducing the angle by 2 degrees is a method some folks use to prevent strops from rounding over the edge.

    For 1000 diamond stones, keep your angle, or perhaps increase it if you want a micro bevel.
