Need a New tip

    sharpened this Mondial chef’s knife today at the fare, afterwards the fellow asked me to repair tip.

    so, here it is please give me your thoughts on the correct way or your way to repair to pointy.

    Are you asking how to do it on the WE, or just how to do it?

    I’d probably fire up that belt grinder you have. 🙂

    Draw on the blade how you want it to look, then grind 90 deg. to the edge and/or spine (being careful not to overheat of course).

    I’d probably do this one on both sides…

    I did a knife a while back… intending to do it all on the WE, but about 1/2 way thru I folded. :dry:

    Most was done from the edge side, but a bit from the spine.
    Just make sure you grind far enough back to keep a nice shape…. working toward the edge works for me.
