Kyocera Ceramic Knives

I know these can’t be sharpened by typical stones etc.
Can the WE sharpen these?
I assume it would need diamond.
Anyone tackle these?
I had some genuine comedy when I tried on hand stones at home.
But it was a cheap set, and it had already chipped, as these are stupidly brittle.

Funny you should ask….

You can use the WEPS diamond plates, but in the diamond plate form they are actually too aggressive for anything more than the initial work and repairs. The knife will cut if you use it in a sawing motion after the 1K WEPS diamonds, but you won’t get the ceramic sharp to the point of cutting/responding like a steel knife until about 9 microns. In the past, I didn’t have much luck on the ceramic knife with the WEPS diamond pastes after the 1K diamond plate. Based on my recent shave experience, I highly recommend using Ken Schwartz’s diamond films for the WEPS. You can contact Ken directly, or order them from me.
