    looking to get started with this product just can’t afford $1300 for something that you only make a few bucks with, is there a starter kit or a used kit anywhere.

    Welcome aboard Jpack.    Every now and again you’ll see a pre-owned set for sale here, or on eBay.  I’d suggest getting the gen-3 vice.

    A WE120 + the 800/1000 stone to start and a 2×12 wood base was the route I chose to start out.. (couple weeks ago)  just under $500

    If I love it can add the last couple stones if not I think it can be sold rather quickly as I could find none used on the Bay..
