    Yes Mark, some interesting ideas. The magnet is a must for me, what an excellent idea that is. Mark, I am just about to send you a PM…give me a few minutes.

    Has anyone tried some fridge magnet material, cut to suit the location?
    Easy to wipe clean of filings.

    Excuse me if this has been discussed already or a stupid idea.

    I did a search and found this thread, just wanted to add a post to it.
    I have read all the previous posts.

    My guess is magnet strength is a priority.

    My experience with magnets is not very good. Either they’re so strong they’re almost unusable (and, with knives in the neighbourhood, dangerous). Or they are so weak you need to keep them close to the metal filings. And in that case a cloth works just as well.

    Thanks Mark, I tried the strong ones.
    They have a mind of their own, I think one is now embedded in the wall somewhere. 😉
