Cold Steel Trail Master Carbon V

I am looking for help in setting up and sharpening a Cold Steel Trail Master knife in Carbon V. The spine of the knife is taking the wicked edge clamp to the limit of what it can do and the flat grind on it is making it near impossible to get it to line up on the vertical axis. It looks like I need to start with a longer top screw on the clamp.

Does anyone here have experience working on one of these knives?

Please help if you can.

I have not done that knife but have had to change out the screw several times. It is not a problem? You should not notice anything as long as you set up with an angle cube?
