    :cheer:

Another one I finished up last night for a hunting buddy of mine from Florida. This one is a Buck 390 fixed blade, drop point Skinner, with 3 1/4″ 420HC Stainless Steel blade. The body of the blade was pretty scratched up from lots of love and lots of skinned deer, but it still took a nice edge.

A very nice edge on a very sturdy blade. Looks like a pretty good knife for capeing and skinning, although I must confess it has been a long time since I had to do that. My son uses an ESEE-3 for duty with deer both white-tail and mules he hunts in the great forests of British Columbia. I will ask what he uses for elk which he hunts from time to time. Clay would know a good knife for them. I suppose the ESEE-3 would do tolerably well for elk too.
This knife looks similar but with more belly to the blade.
Buck makes good stuff for a reasonable price in most cases as does ESEE..
