Is there a way to upload an avatar from an iPad? When I go there the upload file is greyed out.

    Thanks,

    Ken

Without going through a hosting site, like Photobucket for example, I don’t think so.

And that would be fine, but the upload button is greyed out. I must be missing something (if this is doable)

    Hey Ken…

Wish I had an answer for you. I tried playing with some settings to see if mine would gray out, and it never did.

Maybe try restarting your iPad? Or doing a a soft reset? I know I had an (unrelated) issue once… restarting didn’t help, but doing a soft reset cleared it up.

Maybe a more knowledgeable user will have an answer that I’m missing.

    Are you using Safari?

    Some browsers show this behaviour.

Thanks Curtis, nope, just tried both. Same behavior.

I am, Chris, but I tried it on Chrome as well. Same results. Which browser are you using?

    I’m hoping!

I just tried Safari, Atomic Web and Chrome, all work for me iPad2.
So I figure it is your iPad.

Every now and then you should “double click” the home button (or four fingers touch & slide up), when the apps down the bottom appear, hold one until they wiggle.
Then hit the red (-) button and close them all.
This simply stops/removes them running, they don’t leave the iPad. 😉

    Also try Settings/Safari/ClearHistory.

Perhaps try a reset. (home & start button for 10 secs)

    Or iOS update? (6.0.1)

    Well, I guess that’s good to know… 😉

Yeah, I do that routinely. But I tried it just now, no dice.

    Still no.

And no to that as well.

Can’t. It’s a clunky old iPad 1 that will only run 5.11. Can you believe anyone is still using these old boat anchors? 😉

Cool, thanks. I guess it could be an iOS issue, ya think?

    Thanks, to you as well.

Yes, shame they don’t allow iOS updates though, at least you don’t have to suffer Apple maps. 😉

Do you ever get near another web enabled device?

Yeah, I have a PowerBook (PowerPC of course 😉 ) around here somewhere….
