The new 2017 upgrade kits have arrived. We’re still working on the final renderings for our website but these kits can be ordered over the phone at 877 616 9911. The following upgrades are available:
- 2017 Generation 3 Vise for pre-2017 Generation 3 Pro Sharpener. Includes fully enclosed cam and new tension adjustment feature. Price $204.75
- Convert pre-2017 WE100 or Pro-Pack 1 to 2017 WE100 – Includes new degree bar and ball-joint guide rods. Price $96.00
- Convert pre-2017 WE100 or Pro-Pack 1 to 2017 WE120 – extends the angle range to 13-35 DPS and includes micro-adjustable ball-joint guide rods. Price: $150.75
- Convert 2017 WE100 to 2017 WE120 – includes micro adjustment and extends the angle range to 13-35 DPS. Price: $88.75
- Convert pre-2017 WE100 or Pro-Pack 1 to 2017 WE130 – includes 2017 generation 3 vise, ball-joint guide rods with micro adjustment, and extends the angle range to 13-35 DPS. Price: $301.00
- Convert pre-2017 WE120 or Pro-Pack II to 2017 WE130 – includes 2017 Generation 3 Vise, new degree bar, and 10″ guide rods. Price $260.00

I received my 2017 Gen 3 vice for my Pro Pack 2 this past Monday. I LOVE IT! So much simpler to clamp and get correct positioning than the old style vice. No allen key to mess with to mount and unmount a blade! None of the rotation when tightening, true vertical every time!! Also, the clamping pressure adjustment works perfectly!
When mounting the vice to the granite base, I included the pro pack 2 spacer and it works great! I never bottom out the stones when working on a blade.
I would recommend the 2017 gen 3 clamp to anyone using a WE system! Fantastic job to the WE team! Thank you to Clay and Kyle!!! Awesome product!!

Ordered mine on Thursday it was here yesterday. And already used it on my benchmark Osborne. Wow this vise is awesome.

I am sure not everyone is as “in the dark” as I am, but FYI. The upgrade kits (and a selection tool) are available on the WE product site. Admittedly, I don’t often check the main product site as often as the forum … but, when I called to order my jaw upgrade for my pre 2017 Gen 3, got the word that I could order it directly from the site. So, like me, now you know!
