Just made a set of grips for my Sig P238
Vacuum Stabilized Birdseye Maple using Cactus Juice with some black dye added.
I think I might try making some blanks for knifes as well.
Just having some fun with the toys.
This pic is the Bug and The Thug 😛

Nice work on the grips. Handles for the knives won’t be any more difficult, I’d say. Keep up the good work!

Sweet! Those edges look good! I love that little glock 23…we carried the 22 (full size version of the 23) as our duty weapons up until about 2 years ago…that’s when we went to the glock 21 🙂

Nice work! Did you stabilize the wood yourself?

If you get to the knife handles, please post them! Curious to see.

Yes I did them with “cactus juice” and black dye.
I have a large vacuum chamber I found on ebay years ago for mold making but
I never use it. It was to big and slow.
Seen a video on youtube for the cactus juice
for wood and tried it, very cool stuff.
the dye goes into the soft parts of the wood
    and looks really neat.
Now I got to find some cool stock…

    Cool Pic 🙂
I like the SOG Aegis because it sharpens up so easy.
Makes a great everyday work knife.
    That FNP is nice 😉

I like the Aegis but had to reprofile it from 18 to 22; the edge rolls much too easily for what I paid for it. But live and learn; the steel does matter. I just picked up the Griptillion and am curious to see how the D2 steel holds up.

I just got my Bark River Bravo 1 in the mail. I have to say it is beyond question the best production knife I have every received. Beautiful near full convex grind that is perfect from tip to choil. And as sharp or sharper than I get from my WEPS.

    More to follow.
