How to mount the Wicked Edge to a desk?

Its a shame you did not stop here before your purchase. You could have bought the field kit, with a ” C ” clamp which would allow you to clamp your W.E to any surface. Personally, I like the flexibility of being able to turn my base to view the edge from different angles.. You may want to purchase a “C” clamp
At a hardware supply store. this will allow you to take your unit anywhere and clamp it to surfaces of different thicknesses.
here is the field kit… the same price as the basic system, but you can see a C clamp will do the job. you are going to have to measure exactly what you need when you get it, to include washers… the system does not come with mounting hardware for your mounting table.
Your Basic unit will not have the clamp adapter, but you can add some protective tape you your base and clamp it. it does not take much clamping force to overcome the stroke pressure necessary to sharpen a knife…

thanks to RE knives-if not you can make a pattern of your WE base by tracing it on paper,then turn it over after folding one of the long edges of the paper to hold it in place-then mark the holes on bottom of the base,I dont know how long of screws you will need,but they are 5-80 metric,you can get them in any configuration you like and they go into the base about 1/4″ so add that to the thickness of your desk-if I was able to do it I’m sure anyone can-good luck
