    Yep, got the email about the new web site.
    I look at the various patterns of Damascus . . . think how nice juniper or birch scales would look, but haven’t purchased.

    If it came with a thumb hole, I may well own it by now.

    What would the ramifications be for them to produce a “damasticated” blade with a thumb hole?

    I don’t know how great steel their Damascus is?

    No, I don’t know their damascus. Beautiful knife, though.

    I have a F-P laguiole knife with a thumbhole (no damascus), but to be honest I prefer the more traditional Laguioles, which don’t have one. No backlock either… I do know that F-P also do custom work. You could send them an email.

    Tomorrow I’m going to Gembloux, one of the largest knife shows in Europe. I’ll probably see a lot of Laguiole knives and variations 🙂
